Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra would like to invite students with at least one year of playing experience on a woodwind, brass, stringed or percussion instruments to audition for fall programs.
This fall, the symphony will have four orchestras at four different levels starting with Debut Orchestra which is for string players ready to play in a group setting, Philharmonia which is for woodwind, string percussion and brass players at early to intermediate levels, Junior Symphony which is for intermediate level for woodwind, string, percussion and brass players and Symphony which is for advanced level for woodwind, brass, string and percussion players.
Additionally, the youth symphony will offer classes for Beginning Strings, students transitioning from Suzuki String Method to reading music and an all new music program designed specifically for special needs students.
There are no auditions required for Beginning Strings, String Academy or the Special Needs Program. Auditions start Aug. 22. Rehearsals begin in September.
