Maple Valley Summit Gymnastics tumbling and trampoline team participate in state championship

The Summit Gymnastics Tumbling and Trampoline (T&T) Team competed against gymnasts from across Washington State last weekend at the Combined Washington and Oregon State T&T Championships, held May 6-7 at the Renton Community Center.

The Summit Gymnastics Tumbling and Trampoline  Team competed against gymnasts from across Washington State last weekend at the Combined Washington and Oregon State T&T Championships, held May 6-7 at the Renton Community Center.

Athletes competed in three events: Trampoline (TR), Double Mini (DM) and Tumbling (TU).  Out of nineteen categories, Summit took home Team State Champion Banners in fourteen: Level 3-8 and 10 for Trampoline, Level 3-8 in Double Mini, and Level 5, 6 and 8/9 in Tumbling.

Individual first place winners from Summit were: Anya Ameling(DM), Maureen Bock(TR), Bree Calkins(TR)(DM), Jenna Carlson(TU), Jolene Carlson(TR)(TU), Jadawn Cobb(TR)(DM), Katherine Conley(DM), Deni Cook(TR)(DM), Ailish Gurney(DM), Meagan Griggs(TR)(TU), Victoria McDermott-Hale(TU), Saydee Homolka(TU)(DM), Mira Kaufman(DM), Isabella Kopp(TR)(TU), Jaelyn Krafsky(TR), Elizabeth Lorenz(TR)(TU)(DM), Zeah Lucero(TR), Makayla Millard(TR)(DM), Stephan Millard(TR), Madison Miller(TU)(TR)(DM), Hannah Molnar(TR), Kalani Pinter(TR), Naomi Putney(TR)(DM), Hannah Rayburn(TR), Elsie Rochleau(TR), Carsten Smits(TR) and Kristian Smits(TR)(TU)(DM).

The Summit team will be participate in the regional championships June 3-4 in Provo, Utah.
