  • AMBER WOOLCOCK, Tahoma
  • Grade: Senior. Sport: Soccer. Accomplishment: As of Nov. 9, Woolcock has allowed just three goals for the Tahoma girls soccer team through 18 matches, helping the Bears to a 17-1 record on the season, a top 10 ranking in the state and a trip to the state tournament. Over the course of the season she has been in goal for 15 shutouts. Favorite class: Culinary Arts. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner whom would you invite and what you would serve? I’d invite everyone on earth to serve pancakes with peanut butter, bananas and maple syrup. What is your greatest athletic moment: Every moment I spend with Mr. Johnson. What’s currently playing on your iPod? Kid Cudi. Most recent book read/author. “The Five People You Meet in Heaven.” Also noted: Woolcock is on the Honor Roll, is a member of the National Honor Society, is a soccer team captain and will play soccer at Humboldt State University next year.

  • Grade: Junior. Sport: Soccer. Accomplishment: Richmond scored two of Tahoma’s four goals against Thomas Jefferson in a playoff game last weekend. Richmond has scored 12 goals on the season and has had four multi-goal games this year for the Bears. Favorite class: AP Lit. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite and what would you serve? I would invite Taylor Swift so that we could duet together and we could go out for Red Robin. What is your greatest athletic moment? Scoring against Todd Beamer and winning the SPSL. What is currently playing on your iPod? “Ours” by Taylor Swift. Most recent book read/author: “Kite Runner” by Khaled. Also noted: In the spring Richmond runs for the Tahoma track and field team. She has won a state title as part of the 4 x 100 relay team. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and plans to play soccer in college.

  • Grade: Senior. Sport: Football. Accomplishment: Warner returned a fumble for a touchdown and added another score on a Kentwood playoff record 91-yard run, leading the Conquerors past Heritage 57-14 in a Class 4A state preliminary game. Favorite class: Electronics. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Marc Ballinger because he is my neighbor, and we would have Taco Bell because that’s the food of champions. Greatest athletic moment: When I returned a fumble for a touchdown against Kent-Meridian because that was my first defensive TD. Most recent book read/author: “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald. What’s currently playing on your iPod: “Put it in my video” by Childish Gambino.

  • Grade: Freshman. Sport: Soccer. Accomplishment: Brokofsky held Rogers to just one goal in a 2-1 victory that helped the Falcons seal their first Class 4A state playoff berth since 2003. Favorite class: Marketing. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite David Beckham because he is super fine. I would serve steak because that would make me look like I have good taste in food. Greatest athletic moment: Saving a P.K. ending the game 1-0 in the championships with my Crossfire team.
