Maple Valley
• Looking for an eerie experience? Visit the Haunted Forest of Maple Valley. A haunted trail a mile long is set in the Maple Valley Royal Arch Park ready for all to explore.
It is not recommended for children under 10 years old.
The haunted forest is open every Friday and Saturday until Halloween night from 7 to 11 p.m.
On Saturday’s from 5 to 6 p.m., a less scary, family walk is open for younger and more easily frightened visitors.
Because Halloween falls on a Saturday, a blackout event will be held. According to their website, the trail will be in total darkness aside from one glow stick per person.
General admission is $15, family walk admission is $5.

Covington
• On Oct. 24 the Spooky Swim will return to the Covington Aquatic Center.
There will be two sessions, one from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and the second from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
There will be a cannonball contest, prizes and every guest will receive a goody bag.
Pre-registration admission is $7.50 ($6.75 for Covington residents) and day of admission is $11.25 ($9 for Covington residents).
Following the Spooky Swim, the Covington Aquatic Center will host a Halloween Swim on Saturday, Oct. 31.
The event is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and another follows starting at 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Admission is the same as the Spooky Swim.

• A HallowTeen dance will be held at the Cedar Heights commons for kids 12 to 15 years old.
The dance will begin at 6 and end at 8:30 on Friday, Oct. 30.
It costs $5 to enter and there will be dancing, food, games and a costume contest.
Pumpkin Patches
• Mosby Farms in Auburn is open until Saturday, Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to dusk daily.
Hayrides are given on the weekends (weather permitting).
There is also a corn maze, the price of admission ranges from $6 to $9.
New to Mosby Farms is an updated farmstand with plenty of locally grown fruits and veggies, cheese, dairy, wines and brews for sale.
Unlike many other farms in the area, dogs are allowed at Mosby.
• The Carpinito Brothers Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch is located in Kent just off state Route 167.
They are open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Saturday, Oct. 31.
The pumpkin patch is free, the farm fun area filled with farm animals and games is $4, hayrides are $3 and the corn maze ranges from $6 to $9.
