Covington permit counter hours reduced for first two weeks of March

The Covington permit counter will be closed Fridays for the first two weeks of March. The temporary hours will affect the permit counter, but the building inspection hours will remain the same.

The Covington permit counter will be closed Fridays and will close an hour early on Thursday at 4 p.m. for the first two weeks of March.

The change is being made to accommodate staff availability and schedules, temporary hours may be put into affect throughout the year.

The permit counter and building inspector hours were changed Jan. 1 when staff was reduced due to budget cuts.

For the first two weeks of March the hours are as follows:

March 1, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

March 2, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

March 3, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

March 4, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

March 5, closed

March 8, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

March 9, 8 a.m.-noon

March 10, 8 a.m.-noon

March 11, 8 a.m.-noon

March 12, closed

The city staff recommends that you arrive at least one-half hour before closing to make sure your needs can be accommodated. The staff recommends calling ahead to make sure the counter will be open and schedule an appointment. Scheduled appointment have precedence over walk-ins. We want to ensure you get efficient assistance and eliminate the possibility of coming to the counter when it is closed.
