To accommodate the annual review and adoption of the 2013 Budget,
most standing committee meetings will be cancelled
Monday, October 1
Committee of the Whole – 9:30 a.m.
Briefings:
- Equity and Social Justice Initiative Annual Report (Briefing No. 2012-B0147).
- Combined Sewer Overflow Audit Report (Briefing No. 2012-B0158).
- Eastside Rail Corridor: Appraisal (Briefing No. 2012-B0148).
Metropolitan King County Council – 1:30 p.m.
–Members will recognize the outstanding community service of Bill Block, retiring Director of the King County Committee to End Homelessness.
Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:
- An ordinance authorizing an 30-year use agreement with Hollywood Hills Saddle Club for the operation, maintenance, programming and use of the equestrian facility located in the Woodinville Pit Park Site (Substitute Ordinance 2012-0244).
- A motion calling on the Washington State Legislature to adopt legislation relating to juvenile firearms and weapons crimes and that those penalties allow juveniles adjudicated for offences involving firearms be committed to the Juvenile Rehabilitation Facility (Substitute Motion 2012-0216.2).
Tuesday, October 2
Budget and Fiscal Management Committee – 9:30 a.m. ***Special Meeting***
Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:
- An ordinance related to a new multipurpose sports and entertainment facility authorizing the King County executive to execute a memorandum of understanding with the city of Seattle and ArenaCo and to execute an interlocal agreement with the city (Ordinance 2012-0388).
Wednesday, October 3
Regional Water Quality Committee—3:00 p.m.
Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:
- A motion approving the proposed work plan for the review and update of the Regional Water Quality Services Plan (Motion 2012-0406).
