New pastor announced at Covington Community Church

The Covington Community Church of the Brethren has a new pastor, Jeremy Ashworth. He comes from Ohio, but attended college at Taylor University in Ft. Wayne, Ind. He graduated from Bethany Theological Seminary in Richmond, Ind. in 2004.

The Covington Community Church of the Brethren has a new pastor, Jeremy Ashworth. He comes from Ohio, but attended college at Taylor University in Ft. Wayne, Ind. He graduated from Bethany Theological Seminary in Richmond, Ind. in 2004.

For the past five years he has been pastor of Lincolnshire Church of the Brethren in Ft. Wayne. The Ashworth’s have moved to this area so his wife, Mary, can do graduate studies in counseling.

He served as interim pastor at the Covington Community church for six months and then was asked to become the permanent pastor. He teaches an adult Sunday school class at 10 a.m. preceding the church service at 11 a.m. The church is located near the intersection of Wax Road and Kent Kangley Road.
