A golf tournament aimed at raising money for The Jennifer Beach Foundation, a local child abuse and domestic violence program, is looking for players and sponsors for its third annual event.

The 2011 Scramble for Safe Families Charity Golf Tournament is set for 1:30 p.m., Sept. 17, at The Washington National Golf Club, 14330 SE Husky Way, Auburn.

Events include a four-person scramble, a hole-in-one contest, a putting contest, banquet, silent auction, raffles and awards.

The entry fee for players is $120 for an individual or $480 for a four-person team. For groups that sign up three or more foursomes by July 31 the entry fee is $440 per foursome. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Jennifer Beach Foundation.

The foundation provides education, advocacy, and assistance to the community addressing issues related to child abuse and domestic violence. In addition to providing advocacy based counseling for clients, programs include financial literacy classes for survivors of domestic violence, Kid’s Club for children that have been raised in a domestic violent environment, and teen violence awareness and prevention programs.

A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available for companies and individuals that would like to support the event.
