The Black Diamond community is stamping out hunger | Letter

Cheryl Hanson, executive director of the Black Diamond Community Center

Thank you to our community volunteers and our wonderful letter carriers for their contributions during the annual “STAMP OUT Hunger” food drive on May 9. Over 2000 pounds of food was collected that day for the food bank located at the Black Diamond Community Center.

Our food bank is now ready for all community folks who may need a little help feeding their families.  Weekly donations from Lake Sawyer Community Church and St. Barbara Parrish also help keep our shelves full.  No one who needs food will ever be turned down, thanks to our very generous community.

Food bank hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and Fridays by appointment.
