Tahoma School District Special Education Parent Advisory Committee seeks applicants

The Tahoma School District Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) is seeking applicants for parent representatives.

The Tahoma School District Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) is seeking applicants for parent representatives.

The committee is a collaboration of Tahoma School District staff and parents who have students with special needs.

The mission of the group is: “Through parent and educator collaboration and partnership, the purpose of SEPAC is to deliver accurate and proactive communication and training, specific to Special Education, that will enable the entire Education Community to work in a manner that is nurturing, inclusive, and cohesive for the greatest good of our Special Education students.”

The group  meets on the first Thursday of the month from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the District Central Services Center, 25720 Maple Valley-Black Diamond Road SE. There are openings for parent representatives with students receiving services at all grade levels including: preschool, elementary, secondary and transition programs through age 21.
