Suspect allegedly steals socks from Walmart | Maple Valley & Covington Police Blotter

All subjects in the police blotter are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

BURGLARY

• On March 13, an unknown person cut a hole in a fence and broke the lock on the victim’s business vehicle. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

LARCENY

• On March 10, the suspect entered Walmart and selected HP desk top computers to steal. He proceeded to the back corner of the store where he exited the fire door.

• At 3 p.m. on March 11, an unidentified suspect stole the victim’s wallet from her purse while she shopped at Fred Meyer.

• The loss prevention at Walmart witnessed a male place a go-pro battery in his pocket and then return to the electronics department to purchase another battery. Then he exited the store without paying for the battery he placed in his pocket. He was taken into custody outside the store.

• On March 12, the suspect was detained and arrested after Walmart loss prevention witnessed them place a large quantity of socks and vacuum attachment on their person and exit the store. The suspect was charged and released on scene.

• On March 14, a server from Nikki’s Restaurant had their bank bag stolen by an unidentified person. With permission, the suspect used the restaurant’s phone and took the bag of cash off the counter and ran out the doors. Customers later made contact with the suspect near Walmart and recovered the bag. The suspect was let go.

• At 5:40 p.m. on March 16, the reporting party told officers she picked up her prescription while grocery shopping. When she returned home and starting unloading groceries, she made several trips to her apartment from the parking lot leaving one of her four car doors unlocked. After unloading all her groceries, she realized her prescription was missing.

• It was reported that outside the El Caporal restaurant, a vehicle was entered using one of the unlocked doors. A GPS unit and medication was taken from inside the vehicle.
