Association seeks volunteers

The Alzheimer’s Association is currently looking for local volunteers to facilitate Family Caregiver Support Groups in Enumclaw.

These groups provide a place for caregivers to learn, share and gain support from others.

Those who are typically best qualified to be group facilitators are working or retired social workers, nurse and other healthcare professionals, educators, clergy, counselors and former family caregivers.

A commitment of at least a year is required.

Project proposals being accepted

The Make A Difference Day Committee is now accepting proposals for community service projects for this year’s Oct. 27 event.

Make A Difference Day is a national day of community service.

Local volunteers will gather at 8 a.m. at the Greater Maple Valley Community Center and the Black Diamond Community Center for a pancake breakfast before beginning a day of service at their assigned projects.
