David “Dave” Ian Karpen passed away in Buckley, WA on July 1, 2018 surrounded by his children. He was born on February 26, 1958 in Renton, WA to Warren and Margaret Karpen.

With only 60 years on this earth, he lived life to the fullest. Dave had a love for nature, the mountains and the ocean and photography. His hobbies were rock hunting, fishing, and just sitting in the sun reading a good book.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Suzy Eims. He is survived by his children, Ian (Dee Dee) Karpen, Brandy Harding, Jesse Karpen and Jess Frohlich, his grandchildren, Savannah Harding, Quentin Harding and Desiree Martin, his brothers, John (Betty) Karpen and Allan (Susan) Karpen, former wives, Laurie King and Teri Karpen and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Buckley Eagles on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 1PM, where food laughter and memories will be shared. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heritage House in Buckley where Dave lived for the past 5 years.
