All subjects in the police blotter are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
LARCENY
On Oct. 1 officers responded to shoplifters at Fred Meyer. According to the police report, three suspects were taken into custody and booked into Kent jail.
On Oct. 2 officers responded to Foss Market to reports of two juveniles caught shoplifting candy. One was detained and charged by investigation while the other fled.
On Oct. 3 it was reported that 17 unopened packages of Pokeman cards were taken from the Covington Walmart. The subject was contacted outside the store and the packages of cards were returned.
On Oct. 4 two suspects had stolen two boxes of wine from Safeway. One of the suspects got away.
On Oct. 4 it was reported that deli items were stolen from the Covington Safeway. According to the police repot, the suspect ran out of the store and then ran into the Covington Police Department.
On Oct. 4 it was reported that a gym bag was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in Fred Meyer’s parking lot. According to the police report, a Regional Justice Center uniform, duty belt and other items were in the bag.
