Attempted break-in at Ulta Beauty in Covington|Police Blotter

BURGLARY

• On Nov. 16 it was reported the front door of the Hacienda Del Mar restaurant was broken. The police report stated the cash drawer was stolen. The report added the alarm was not tripped.

• On Nov. 21 officers responded to reports of a commercial burglary at Smoke and Vape. The police report stated an unknown object was used to break the glass on the front door. The report added it did not appear anything was taken from inside the business.

• On Nov. 21 it was reported to officers that multiple subjects wearing hoods and masks attempted to break into Ulta Beauty in Covington. The police report stated they did not make entry into the store.

TRESPASS

• On Nov. 17 a subject was trespassed from a bank on Witte Road Southeast after aggressively panhandling.

LARCENY

• On Nov. 18 it was reported to officers that items were suspiciously going missing from the victim’s apartment.

• On Nov. 19 a suspicious vehicle was called in by an off-duty police officer. According to the police report, the vehicle appeared to have been prowled or may have been an unreported stolen vehicle. The report added a small window on the vehicle had been broken.

• On Nov. 23 the loss prevention officer at Walmart watched a male subject push a cart past the registers out the front doors. The police report added he took a remote controlled car without paying for it.

VEHICLE PROWLER

• On Nov. 19 two subjects were caught inside the victim’s unlocked vehicle. The police report stated one subject was seen exiting the vehicle to smoke.

FOUND PROPERTY

• On Nov. 20 a subject reported finding a wallet at the Maple Valley Fred Meyer. The police report stated a number of credit cards, Social Security cards and IDs were inside.

THREATS

• On Nov. 21 officers were contacted regarding reports that threats were made toward the victim via Snapchat.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

• On Nov. 21 officers responded to reports of a suspicious person near a donation box at an insurance company.

AUTO THEFT

• While the reporting party was at work on Nov. 23 her Honda was stolen from the Maple Valley Fred Meyer’s parking lot. The police report stated it is unknown who the suspects are.

FAMILY DISTURBANCE

• On Nov. 16 officers were contacted because a student at a local elementary school had reported to staff members that their mom had hit them. The police report stated the incident was an argument that turned physical. CPS was also contacted, according to the police report.

• On Nov. 20 officers responded to reports of a family disturbance. The police report stated there is an ongoing issue but no current court orders are in place. The report added no crime was committed, the report was for informational purposes only.

VIOLATION OF COURT ORDERS

• On Nov. 19 it was reported to officers that a anti-harassment order was violated because the petitioner was contacted while inside the LA Fitness in Covington. Because the person who violated the order was 17 years old, the case was forwarded to the juvenile prosecutor, the police report stated.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE VIOLATION

• On Nov. 20 officers arrested a subject in the McDonald’s. According to the police report, the subject had drug paraphernalia in plain view. The report also stated drugs were found on the person.

FRAUD

• On Nov. 20 it was reported to officers that an unidentified suspect obtained $775 through iTunes gift cards from the victim. The police report stated the telephone scammer promised the victim a large cash grant in exchange for the gift cards.

ASSAULT

• On Nov. 20 officers responded to reports of a loss prevention worker being punched. The police report stated the suspect fled the scene in a two-door car with Oregon plates.

• On Nov. 23 it was reported to officers the victim had reportedly been assaulted by their neighbor.

DRUNKENNESS

• On Nov. 21 an intoxicated male reportedly hit the reporting party’s vehicle. The police report stated he hit the vehicle with his hands. The report added he was taken for detox.

CRIMINAL WARRANT

• On Nov. 23 a girlfriend and boyfriend were reportedly arguing in the Fred Meyer parking lot. When officers approached them it was determined that both have warrants. The police report stated both were arrested for their warrants.
