Five years after being a missionary in Uganda, Pohlreich returned to Maple Valley and became the senior pastor.

Volz had been a part of Generational Hope for more than 25 years. Because of his friendship with Pohlreich, he also became a full time missionary in Uganda.

“The loss of these two men of God has deeply impacted the lives of our community. We grieve but we have a blessed hope knowing that the vision these two men walked out in life lives today in the heart of Generational Hope Christian Center and each and every person who came in contact with Pastor Ed and Pastor Scott,” the press release stated.
