RECOVERED LICENSE PLATE
• On Dec. 7 officers were contacted regarding a rental truck that had been returned with stolen license plates. The plates were from Indiana.
VEHICLE LICENSE VIOLATION
• On Dec. 7 officers pulled over a vehicle for expired registration. Upon contact it was determined that the driver had failed to transfer the title to his name within the 45 day window.
VEHICLE RECOVERY
• On Dec. 8 it was reported that an unknown suspect had abandoned a stolen vehicle from Fife on the shoulder of a public road.
AUTO THEFT
• On Dec. 10 it was reported that a vehicle was stolen from the parking lot near The Rock in Covington.
• On Dec. 15 officers were called regarding a vehicle that was stolen from the parking lot of an apartment complex.
• On Dec. 17 it was reported that a rifle as well as 30 rounds were taken from a truck parked at the Maple Valley Fred Meyer. It was also reported that the vehicle was stolen as well.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES
• On Dec. 9 it was reported that a suspicious vehicle was being parked close to the victim’s workplace.
• On Dec. 10 officers were contacted to report that an unknown subject had showed up both at the reporting party’s home and place of work.
• On Dec. 15 it was reported that the reporting party attempted to confront a package thief. The police report stated that no package was taken.
TRESPASS
• On Dec. 3 officers were called to the Covington MultiCare to reports that a suspect was causing a disturbance. The police report stated this resulted in the subject being trespassed from the hospital.
• On Dec. 10 officers responded to an AM/PM to trespass subjects. The police report stated one was in custody for a suspended license warrant out of Redmond.
• On Dec. 15 officers were called to Fred Meyer to reports that a male subject was seen putting merchandise in his backpack. Upon contact, he said he was going to return the items. He was trespassed from the store.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF FIREARM
• On Dec. 5 officers responded to McDonald’s to talk to two suspects. It was reported that one was arrested for a warrant and was also in possession of heroin and a handgun at the time. The other suspect was arrested and booked on investigation. The police report stated the vehicle was also seized pending a search warrant.
• On Dec. 10 officers were dispatched the description of a vehicle with a window shot out. Officers were able to find the vehicle and the subjects inside were detained. The police report stated that one of the subjects was arrested for possession of a stolen firearm.
CRIMINAL WARRANT
• On Dec. 10 officers stopped a vehicle for speeding. Upon contact with the driving it was determined that had no insurance and no valid license. When officers allowed the driver to switch spots with a passenger, it was determined that person had warrants. They were booked into SCORE.
• On Dec. 17 while officers were on a routine patrol, they witnessed a vehicle parked in a dark area of the old Burger King location. The police report stated that someone was sleeping inside the vehicle. The report also stated that the subject has a domestic violence warrant.
