Nicole Marie Harrison, formerly of Maple Valley, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, at the age of 35.

Nicole suffered massive injuries on the night of Feb. 23 after being struck by an automobile while walking.

Nicole is survived by her husband, Neil, of 15 years, and her four children, Brendan, 11, Brooke, 9, Brody, 5 and Braxten, 2.

She is also survived by her brothers, Robert McGonigal, Kalahan and Kincaid Hughes, and her sister Michelle Siddons.

Nicole and her family moved from Maple Valley to North Carolina in July 2008, however, her heart was always here in Maple Valley.

Nicole, more than anything, loved being a wife and mother. She loved to camp and go on many exciting outdoor adventures with her family. She loved the outdoors, especially snowboarding and water sports. She was always fun to be around, and would go out of her way to meet new people and always made them feel welcome. Her laughter, smile and genuine personality will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate her life was held at Olivet Baptist Church in Wilmington, North Carolina on Sunday, March 8, 2009.

In lieu of flowers, the Nicole Marie Harrison Family Fund has been created in her honor, for the benefit of her four children. Donations can be made at any Bank of America.
