Harley Healy
Harley Healy, 88, died on January 4, 2015 in Enumclaw WA. Harley was born in West Seattle in 1926. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Evelyn, son Stephen (Valerie), daughters Catherine Ratliff (Paul deceased) and Theresa Springer (Scott); grandchildren Marshall, Marie, Claire, and Emily; and three great grandchildren.
Harley served in WWII as a CFC gunner on a B29. After the war, Harley became a member of IBEW LU 46 in 1946. A cousin encouraged Harley to attend a grange dance at the Ohop Grange, where he met Evelyn Sumey. They married in 1947 and moved to the South Seattle area where they raised their three children. Harley was a proud member of IBEW LU 46 for 68 years. After retirement, he and Evelyn took to exploring back roads, wearing out several vehicles on the dirt roads they found.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated January 17, 2015 at 10:30AM at St. Barbara Catholic Church Black Diamond WA. Dad will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery Tuesday January 20 at 11:00 AM.
