Public Health’s Vital Statistics office will move to a new location Tuesday, Dec. 21. The office will be Monday Dec. 20 while moving is underway.

The move is an effort by the county to save money and provide more convenient service to residents seeking birth and death certificates.

The new office will be co-located with the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, on the second floor of the 9th and Jefferson building on the Harborview Medical Center campus. Vital Statistics will be open for longer hours in the new location, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Customers will find more convenient parking options in the 9th and Jefferson Building parking garage, and the office is served by Metro Transit as well.
