Tahoma Bears honored by Seattle Times

Tahoma seniors Amandre Williams and Mia Corbin were named to the 2015 Seattle Times Star Times all-area teams for football and soccer.

Tahoma seniors Amandre Williams and Mia Corbin were named to the 2015 Seattle Times Star Times all-area teams for football and soccer.

Every year for fall, winter and spring high school sports Seattle Times staff and freelancers honor the top athletes and coaches in the Seattle area.

Amandre Williams

Williams has been a three year starter for the Bears and this season played quarterback, defensive end and punter.

He has committed to play defensive end at the University of Washington.

This season he led the South Puget Sound League 4A Northeast in passing.

Williams earned the honor of Offensive Back of the Year and was also a first-team choice on the defensive side of the field.

Mia Corbin

Corbin was named SPSL 4A North co-Most Valuable Player.

She led the Bears to a second place finish in the SPSL 4A Northeast.

The Bears finished the season one game shy of a 4A state berth.

As midfielder, she finished the season with 11 goals and 12 assists.

Corbin earned a scholarship to California.

She also has a 3.97 grade point average.
