FAMILIES HELPED IN BLACK DIAMOND
The Black Diamond Community Center provides Christmas for children of low-income families from Black Diamond, Ravensdale, Cumberland and the Green River Gorge.
Organizers are collecting new and unwrapped toys for children up to 17 years old. Look for giving trees at Columbia Bank, Black Diamond Antique Store, Black Diamond Library, Lake Sawyer Grocery, The Loft and the Black Diamond Community Center. Donations should be dropped off by Dec. 14. Gifts will be distributed from 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 21.
The Black Diamond Community Center also seeks donations of small turkeys or hams (10-12 pounds) for our Food Bank clients for the holiday meals. They can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 21-22.
The Black Diamond Community Center is at 31605 Third Ave. in Black Diamond. Anyone with questions about the programs can call Cheryl Hanson 360-886-1011.
