10:30 a.m., Feb. 13 – Valentines Day Dance with “Diamonds in the Rough.” Reservations are required by Feb. 6.

6:30 p.m., Feb. 14 – Sons of Italy Lodge 1809 month dinner meeting, $5 for members

Feb. 20 – February birthday celebration lunch

9 a.m.-4 p.m., Feb. 20 – Footcare with Karen. Call the center to make an appointment. Cost is $25.

5:30 p.m., Feb. 22 – Giant Meatballs Fundraiser. Tickets are $12 and must be purchased in advance. Call Joe Androsko at 253-332-5188.

9:15 a.m.-2:15 p.m., March 10 and 11 – AARP Smart Driver Course with Jan Stolz. $15 for AARP members, $20 for non-members

 

Senior Congregate Meals – Tuesdays and Thursdays

Social hour begins at 11 a.m., lunch is served at noon. Suggested donation is $3.

 

Play Pool with Pete – Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Pinochle with Joe & Evelyn – Tuesdays, 12:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

BINGO with Mr. Gary – Thursdays, 1 p.m.

Taking Pounds Off Sensibly – Fridays, 9 a.m.-11 a.m.

 

Please donate your old eyeglasses

The Enumclaw Lions Club has an eyeglasses donation box at the Black Diamond Community Center. Together we are collecting clean and gently used eyeglasses for people in remote areas of developing countries. The glasses will be examined and packaged by volunteer eye doctors who will sort them for the different prescription needs.

BD Walk & Talk – Mondays and Wednesdays

Group meets at BDCC at 7:30 a.m. Walk around Black Diamond on Mondays, and off to the Wilderness trail onWednesdays.

Blood Pressure

Come get your blood pressure checked every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to noon by volunteers from the Black Diamond Fire Department.

Diabetic Shoe Fittings

Are you in need of or interested in getting diabetic shoes? Appointments with representatives from Priority Footwearare available. Call 360-886-1011 for more information.

Free Pet Food

Once a month for low-income seniors. Sponsored by the Humane Society. Come by the Black Diamond Community Center to fill out anapplication. This service is available each month.

Meals on Wheels

Available to home-bound seniors. Meals are provided by Senior Services for only a $3 donation for each meal. 24-pack cases ofEnsure are also available for a discount rate of $25. Call 360-886-1011 for information and to sign up for the program.
