Incident Of The Week
KCFD 44 was called to a motor vehicle accident at approximately 12:30 a.m. on March 10. A car had rolled several times and the passenger of the vehicle was ejected from the car. The 911 call reported that the passenger was unconscious but breathing. The driver was walking around with injuries. The call also reported that the car severed a telephone pole.
Once firefighters arrived on scene they immediately started providing aid to the unconscious patient who was ejected from the car. Paramedics took the unconscious patient to the hospital due to foggy conditions and Airlift was unavailable. Paramedics began CPR on the patient in route to the hospital. We do not have conformation on the outcome of this patient at this time.
The driver of the vehicle had injuries and was transported to the hospital via an ambulance.
