Tahoma High athletes Tate Latimer and Derek Eager had big days at the Arnie Young Invitational Saturday, April 3, at Renton Memorial Stadium.

Tate Latimer blew past the competition in the 100-meter hurdles winning in a time of 14.84 seconds. The University of Washington-bound senior now holds the top time in the state in the event.

She also easily won the 300 hurdles in 46.65.

Derek Eager cleaned up in field events, winning three including the javelin despite throwing into a cold head wind. He pegged 204 feet, 7 inches.

Eager also took the discus event throwing 165-0 and the 12-pound shot put hitting 50-09.50

Eager has the top distance in the state in both the javelin at 218-7 and the discus at 181-6.

Casey Campbell ran second in the 1,600 in 4:32.29.

Trevor Thompson fro Lindbergh won the event in 4:30.

Tahoma’s Aaron Davis took 10th in the shot put at 39-03.75. Skyler Rubadue was fourth in discus at 126-06 and 17th in the javelin with 109-04.

For the girls in field events Nadine Hyde grabbed third in the discus at 90-06 and Kylie Eager was 13th in the discus at 68-02.

Alivia Ward came in seventh in the shot put at 32-06 and Kylie Eager was 11th at 28-00.

MaKenzie Forehand was seventh in the javelin at 90-10 and Savanna Haverfield was 11th at 76-10.

As a team the boys came in seventh out of 16 with 43 points and the girls 11th with 29.5.
