Ginger Passarelli of Black Diamond is being recognized by Cabot Creamery Cooperative, a New England and upstate New York farm-family owned dairy cooperative widely, for her selfless volunteerism with the Soup Ladies.

The Soup Ladies began feeding first responders in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and since then has provided food to first responders of dozens of emergencies. Passarelli and her husband, Harvey, will join more than 40 other altruistic individuals and their guests on an all expense paid Southern Caribbean cruise honoring them for the volunteer work they do in their communities.

For the past four years, in major cities and towns across the United States, the Cabot Community Celebrity Awards have honored the powerful achievements and contributions of select volunteers. Each year, Cabot spotlights those who serve others with little thought of personal recognition, and reward them with a trip of a lifetime.
