CHS Auburn and their outlying Cenex locations are gathering donations of money and food to help CHS reach its goal of raising more than 2 million meals for hungry families at its locations in Auburn, Black Diamond, Chehalis, Chimacum, Gig Harbor/Purdy, and Poulsbo.

Donations collected will support families using local food banks and Food Lifeline.

“We’re excited to participate in CHS Harvest for Hunger,” says Edward Scheetz, general manager. “To support local donations to CHS Harvest for Hunger, CHS Country Operations will also make a contribution to help friends and neighbors right here in our community. This is a wonderful opportunity for all of us to multiply the impact of every donation we make.”

Financial donations are encouraged because they enable food banks to use their buying power to provide nutritious food at deeply discounted rates.

CHS Auburn is a business unit of CHS Inc., a leading energy, grains and foods global agribusiness owned by farmers, ranchers and cooperatives across the United States. For nearly 80 years, the CHS system has valued volunteerism and been a responsible steward in its communities; the CHS Harvest for Hunger food and fund drive is designed to harness the power of the 70 CHS-owned/locally governed cooperatives to address America’s growing hunger problem.
