Rainier Youth Choirs to perform May 21

Rainier Youth Choirs will be performing at the Kent United Methodist Church Saturday, May 21 at 2 p.m.

Rainier Youth Choirs will be performing at the Kent United Methodist Church Saturday, May 21 at 2 p.m. The church is located at 11010 S.E. 248th St., Ken. Tickets are $12-$10 purchased in advance and $15-$12 at the door. The doors will open at 1:45 p.m. Advanced ticket purchase is recommended.

Rainier Youth Choirs is a non-profit community organization that offers vocal and choral training for young singers. This concert showcases RYC’s three auditioned groups, Bella Voce, Colla Voce and Consonare. The members range from grades four through college, and come from Covington, Kent, Maple Valley, Auburn, Federal Way, Enumclaw, Issaquah and Renton to practice at Cedar Heights Middle School in Covington.

Auditions by appointment for the 2011-12 season are currently being scheduled for youth who enjoy singing and will be in grade four through college next fall.
