All subjects in the police blotter are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

CRIMINAL WARRANT

• On Aug. 18 officers contacted a subject for trespassing on private property behind the Covington Safeway. While in the officers’ possession, the subject was arrested for a felony Department of Corrections warrant and was booked into Regional Justice Center.

VANDALISM

• On Aug. 18 officers responded to reports of damage to the reporting party’s garage door. The police report stated the damage appears to be dents.

• On Aug. 23 officers responded to Hop Jack’s to reports of damage to the victim’s vehicle doors.

ATTEMPTED AUTO THEFT

• On Aug. 20 it was reported that an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s vehicle and attempted to steal it. Instead the suspect stole the stereo.
