COVINGTON

Aug. 29

TAGS STOLEN: 27100 block of 164th Avenue Southeast. Someone stole the rear license plate from a car in the Covington Library parking lot.

BURGLARY: 27100 block of 185th Avenue Southeast. Someone pushed in the drive through window of Cutter’s Point coffee shop in Covington Esplanade. Police believe the suspect used gloves.

Aug. 27

CAR PROWL: 19400 block of Southeast 266th Street. Someone stole CDs and a fishing pole from a vehicle with its windows rolled down.

DRUNK DRIVER: Kent Kangley Road and 173rd Avenue Southeast. A driver was stopped for not using his headlights and improper lane changes then was arrested for driving under the influence. The drivers blood alcohol level was .147, almost twice the legal limit.

Aug. 26

CASH AND CARRY: 25900 block of 188the Avenue Southeast. After breaking into a home by prying open the dead bolt of the front door, burglars stole $9,000 in cash and $60,000 worth of coins.

Aug. 23

VANDALISM: 25700 block of 160th Avenue Southeast. A trio of girls were found vandalizing a man’s home using a variety of household items including mustard, syrup, sausage, eggs, soy sauce, among other things. All three girls were released to their parents.

Aug. 29

Theft: 23900 block of Southeast Kent Kangley Road. Someone stole a purse from an unlocked car parked outside of Dairy Queen in Four Corners.

Aug. 27

HUNG UP ON: 26600 block of 221st Place Southeast. Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 hang up call and when officers responded to the Cherokee Bay home the call came from they found the house empty and unlocked.

INAPPROPRIATE REQUEST: 23900 block of 216th Place Southeast. While chatting on the Internet the suspect asked an 11 year old to send him naked photos of herself.

MISSING SIGNS: A political candidate reported that her campaign signs had been removed from various sites throughout the city of Maple Valley.

Aug. 23

MAKING HIMSELF AT HOME: 23900 block of Southeast 284th Street. After being invited into the victim’s home, the suspect helped himself to various items in the house without asking for permission to take them.
