Maple Valley and Covington women named champions in Hobby Hall competitions

Crafters from Maple Valley and Covington were among those who showcased their skills in a variety of competitions in Hobby Hall at the Washington State Fair, Sept. 6-22 and brought home the Grand Champion titles.

Handcrafts, collections, demonstrations, and group or club participants were the four categories at this year’s Fair.

Nancy Anderson of Maple Valley won the title of Grand Champion in professional calligraphy.

Rosemarie Cozad of Covington was named Grand Champion and Reserve Champion in professional hand painted China.
